Vita Global Sciences (VGS), operating under the Functional Service Provider (FSP) model, continuously seeks to support the growth and development of embedded talent within client teams. During an on-site visit to a major global pharmaceutical company, one of VGS's program leaders gathered direct feedback from FSP employees, revealing a strong desire for structured career development opportunities.
Approximately 11 of the employees surveyed expressed interest in gaining the skills and experience necessary to progress within their current function. This insight was brought back to the VGS Talent Care team for further action.
In response, the VGS team quickly collaborated to design and implement a group mentorship program—a solution that was both immediate and cost-effective. Initially, only two experienced employees were identified as potential mentors. Rather than default to traditional 1:1 pairings, a group model was chosen to ensure broader impact.
The six-month program covered a series of practical and strategic topics including:
At the conclusion of the program, two employees were promoted; one internally within the VGS FSP workforce and one hired directly by the client organization. This demonstrates the program's impact not only on individual advancement but also on client satisfaction.
By fostering a learning environment within the client site, VGS empowered its talent to grow into roles that better serve operational demands, ultimately helping both the client and its workforce succeed.
VGS continues to scale mentorship initiatives across FSP teams to drive employee growth, client value, and long-term engagement.
